Meet the Blogger

W E L C O M E     T O     M Y     B L O G

As a sheltered African raised, teenager; whose image of the US college experience was built around media, I was to say the least more than than excited about coming to the land of the free for university. Convinced that my soon to be college life in Philadelphia would be filled with the fun of dating an array of gorgeous Americanas, I was a big kid in anticipation of the worlds' greatest candy shop... I could not  wait to try out all the different flavors it had to offer. I had it all perfectly thought up in my head; after trying all sorts of chocolate, caramel, vanilla delights I would find myself and my husband to be, just like everyone does in college....WRONG!

Now that I've graduated from college, I'm realizing how much my college dating experience has paled to my ohhh-so awesomely envisioned dating life. Soooo, I didnt't get to experience the stuff that movies are made off. I still learned a lot about myself along the way and what I really look, for when it comes partner. While taking time off to apply to medical school and figure out my next big move, I decided to move to New York on a whim.

Alicia keys wasn't lying when she said 'these streets (and the men that walk on them lol) will make you feel brand new and big light's will inspire you' .... Not only have I decided to put myself more out there (after all what better way to make a mends than in the dating capital of the world), I've decided to publicly share each and everything along the way in this blog, including the expected utterly humiliating stuff. As I transition into the dating world of professionals, I plan on making this blog a entertaining memoir of some past dating flops, current must share experiences and of course my dating to do list (lol no pun intended).

For the sake of protecting my identity and those of other parties involved in this blog, I will be using an alias name... like Gossip Girl (lol minus the crazy upper east side drama). But I'm hoping that this blog will serve as a platform for the readers too to share their own dating experiences publicly or anonymously. That said may you all find something in this blog that you can relate to and at the very least laugh at... so kick back; read, share and most of all ENJOY! the blog.
