New York Nights / New York Minute (Part I)

Alas it's been a month going on two since I last blogged... I'm behind with everything and ashamedly sucking at life right now. Hard as it was to stay away, I had to majorly sort out my life in New York so I could be able to get back to spending my undivided time (or at least try to) on romantically failing and sharing these failures with you all. But! fear no more, because class is officially in session and this past month of exploring the city (aka NYC guy orientation) has left me with a story or two share...

Not So Single but Ready to Mingle

Our first saucy tale started out the night my friend Anna came into town to visit. We decided to hit meatpacking district's SLS club. As expected it was lurking with hotties and so much so we weren't even sure how to go about initiating contact with all the gorgeous men surrounding us... hat was until Mr. Hersey asked me to dance. Anna playing the role of good wing woman danced with his not so tall, not dark and not so handsome friend, while I proceeded to flirt and dance with my man candy. I had already been pretty much beside myself with how smashingly good looking this guy was, so when I heard his sexy accent I was done for. I thought to myself hmmm a southern gentleman...

W-I-N-N-I-N-G!

By the end of some songs and more than a little flirtation turned to neck nibbling, the southern gentleman I had met dissipated because out came the dirty south. As he unashamedly blurted out that he had a girlfriend back in Houston and that we'd just be a night of fun- no strings attached. After my Jojo inspired proclamation that 'I'm not that kinda girl,'  Mr. Hersey didn't blink twice before turning to my friend Anna... AS IF! Needless to say I did not score in the major leagues on this evening but I'd learnt one thing by the end of the night... New York like any other place (hot or not) is crawling with trolls and sadly there's still weeding to be done.
